How long would the presentation be?
For a party would you come to my home?
Yes, gladly if you are within our region. You will see that we have no special requirement other than enough room for the kids to safely move around and play games. Click on to see our map.
Do you cater for children with special educational needs?
Yes, absolutely. We are committed in all areas of our work to include as many children as possible regardless of their ability level. Some of our sessions and parties will be more suited to fit specific needs. We can discuss this with you at the time of booking.
What days of the week will you work?
Any day of the week!
Can parents/carers watch the party?
Yes, and at no extra charge! In fact we ask that at least the minimum agreed is present all the time.
What are the maximum and minimum numbers at a presentation?
In schools we often work with a class of approx thirty but we can discuss numbers of children at the time of booking. Because of the interactive nature of our parties, we normally say that there should be at least five kids. At the other end of the scale, we advise up to around twenty as a typical maximum.
How many Specialists come along?
This will depend on the session you are booking and the amount of children attending.
Do you have Criminal Records Bureau checks?
Yes. We carry full enhanced CRB checks.
What time of day can I choose?
You are not tied to any time slot. In schools, a half day booking is either before or after lunch. For parties, events and play schemes we can fit in with you. However we would prefer to start our parties fifteen minutes after the children have been asked to arrive. This allows enough time for them to settle down without getting too excited!
How much do you charge for mileage?
Fiftty pence per mile, chargeable as a round trip from LE9 9HG.
Can we take photographs?
Of course! Please note that we do not take any responsibility for photos and presume you have gained parental permission prior to taking photos. If you would ever like your group of children to be added to our gallery then please email us the photos.
Where do you work?
We cover Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Can we have the workshop or party outside?
Yes, by all means. Certain activities may be weather dependant!
Are you insured?
Yes. But, we have never claimed on it and intend to keep it that way.
When do I pay?
We ask that you send us just £40.00 to secure your booking and the balance is then payable on arrival at the booking.
Do you take credit cards?
Sorry but not yet. Cash or cheques (paid to L. or G. McCarthy), please.
Can I reserve a date?
Yes. Give us a call and we will hold an agreed date and time for three working days. This will give you time to book a hall or make any other necessary arrangements.
What if I have to cancel?
We understand that the unforeseen may happen. We will try to accommodate you with a new date and carry over your deposit as necessary.
Can I still book if I don’t know how many kids will be coming?
Yes. Make your booking as normal. We can adjust the numbers nearer the date of the party.
